We believe that every participant in the congregation has a role to play in fulfilling the Great Commission and the Kingdom First goals of Second Baptist Church. Through various trip opportunities, serving events, and regular giving, everyone can find a way to make missional living a daily practice.

St. Louis has 2.7 million people, 79 distinct neighborhoods, and 110 different languages. There are more than 70,000 Bosnians living in the metro area, the largest population of Bosnians in the United States. Less than 18 percent of metropolitan St. Louis residents are affiliated with an evangelical church. St. Louis has a great need for the church to go and share the good news of Jesus Christ.
