Family Night at Home:

Second Baptist Church Worship Choir Purpose:
To glorify and honor God in our worship and to lead others to do the same.

God desires the praise of our lips, but that praise must spring from hearts and lives that are consecrated unto Him.

Psalm 51 says,
“O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You do not take pleasure in burnt offerings. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.”

Before our ministry has the wings of the Holy Spirit, our people must have the desire to go deeper in holiness with God.  As a Choir, we have been called to lead our people in worship. In order to do that, we must be worshipers ourselves. The essence of our worship is not when we worship, or where we worship, or even how we worship, but Whom we worship.
