AWANA Cubbies
The heartbeat of Awana is reaching children around the world with the good news that Jesus Christ loves them and can save them from sin.
Each week, more than one million boys and girls in over 110 countries attend Awana clubs where they play games, memorize Bible verses and listen to Bible stories. From preschool to high school, children and youthhave fun while being taught the Word of God.
We are also looking for Parent Volunteers that are willing to serve in this ministry. If you are planning to let your children be a part of the Cubbie program, let us encourage you to volunteer. Your involvement would consist of working with the children and listening to verses, there is nothing more precious than to hear these little voices recite God’s word. You would also help children transition from room to room as well as becoming a friend they look forward to seeing each week. This program is a lot of fun to be involved with. We would love you to become a new addition to our group.
The first meeting will be conducted on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, for the 2009-2010 programming year. For Children ages 3 & 4 years by August 1, 2009.
Cubbies will meet on Wednesday evening from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m. The program emphasizes scripture memory and Bible Lesson. We also have an activity room that plans something special for each week.
Participation in Awana Cubbies will require parental involvement. When you enroll your child in Cubbies you are making a commitment to work with your child each week prior to their arrival on Wednesday evening to memorize their weekly verse.
You may contact Leah Capps at the church if you need additional information.
